NEW HOUSE IN SKELLEFTEÅ GETS ENERGY FROM NEIGHBORING BUILDINGS

The new building planned for Campus Skellefteå by the Skellefteälven will have a unique energy solution. It will be supplied by the energy from the buildings next door. "It's about moving energy both in terms of time and place," says the project leader, Professor Karl Andersson.

PROJECT CREATE UNIQUE ENERGY SOLUTIONS

Vinnova has granted the project "Digital city development - Campus Skellefteå" where Luleå University of Technology collaborates with ABB, Skellefteå Kraft and Skellefteå Municipality. In the project, an energy management system will be built to take on the challenge of moving power needs in time and space in a geographical location and thus use the infrastructure more efficiently and more resource-efficiently.
